Is it possible to take root cuttings from a bronze fennel? I have been given a HUGE clump which has lovely thick fleshy roots.

Why bother? Let it flower and set seed and next year you will have so many you will be weeding them out forever!

Re: growing from seed.
If there is a green Fennel within 6 meters, some of the seedlings will be bronze, some green, and some with purplish tips.
