Planted three trachelospermum jasmine early March which are slowly growing but just a few of the leaves have turned dark brown! They are in a dry, shady area so plenty of water has been supplied. Should I be concerned about the brown leaves? Am I over or under watering?

first, not sure how well they'll do in a shady spot, these plants prefer full sun. Second, you haven't indicated what part of the country you're in, but is it possible you've had a frost since you planted them, and are the affected leaves at the top, or the most exposed?
