Please can anyone tell me the name of this plant? My books and internet searches so far have not come up with anything. The flower looks like that of a Pulmonaria, of which I have many of the common type. The leaves however are not like those of that family. This plant has just appeared from nowhere. The leaves have "bumps" on the upper surface and stiff hairs on the undersurface.

I'd say they are Owdboggy, looking at the leaf in the centre bottom of the pic, isn't that precisely what you're describing? I'd like to know what it is, and I suspect you know, lol.

What is really frustrating is that , yes I do know what it is. It is an over wintering early flowering annual and it seeds itself all over our garden. But the name................nothing pops up.

Thanks Owdboggy - Nonea Lutea it is. I have looked at other pictures of it on the web and you are spot on. It is described as a hardy biennial. Thanks for your help - I don't think I would have found this one in a month of Sundays. Aint the WWW wonderful!
