Hard to do without making it unhealthy, Tengered. The more light it can get, the shorter it will grow. Keeping it well fed, but in tight pots, will also make it slightly shorter--and encourage early flowering, which stops growth of that stem. Using a plant food with a formula with equal amounts of nitrogen and potash--rather than more nitrogen--and low phosphate, will slow the growth slightly, without making it yellow. All of these techniques are also used to make bonsais of plants that can't be conveniently pruned, such as bamboo, and Sago Palms.
