Vertical gardening???

I want to incorporate some vertical gardening into my yard. I have a privacy fence around my backyard, so a lot of vertical space to maximize on. I've looked up products for this, such as woolly wally. They are so expensive though! Does anybody have any "do-it-yourself" techniques for building vertical pockets for planting?

I have tried some upside-down planting at my home twon , it is really a clever trick in saving space , i have the same case as yrs here in my tiny UK garden and probably would try something as here

Here's an idea -

It doesn't look quick - you have to grow the plants in a sturdy frame on the ground for several months to become established before you lift them onto the wall.
