I have vinca growing very vigorously, is there a danger of it suffocating new shrubs? if so how best to get rid of it as the roots are everywhere!

Answers
Yes some vincas get too vigorous and can take over areas of the garden. Cut and dig out as many of the roots and runners as you want. Some of it is bound to come back but clear it well away from any new plants you put in.
