Is planting a pyracantha close to the house likely to cause subsidence. I had a chaenomeles which the surveyotrs blamed!

I have acquired this from a friend's garden. I was hoping to have it as a wall shrub and keep it fairly small and close.

I think the surveyors must have been a bit desperate for a reason - sounds very unlikely to me. We had a large pyracantha growing on our house in a clay soil with no problems.
