Does anyone know the name of this shrub? Many thanks.

The plant in the middle of the picture looks like a Peony. It seems to be a herbacious, bulbous peony but if it has some woody stems (I can't see them) then a Tree Peony.

Thankyou, the stems seem to be of Rhubarb colour and texture, but I think you could be right. I googled Tree Peony and it looks like a great match. It will flower soon, so a bigger clue will appear.

It looks very healthy and vigorous!

if the stalks are 'rhubarb-ish' then i'd go with the herbaceous peony not the tree peony as they are definitely woody.
