If its a little blue flower I think it may be speedwell

I think it's slender speedwell. Chickweed has pointy leaves in pairs and bright white flowers.

I think it's speedwell too - it's easy to pull up but readily grows again.

Flowers aren't out yet, my money is on speedwell.

Yes, I'd say definitely speedwell (quite pretty in flower!).

The flower buds look white to me, I know its not chickweed, not sure what it is. Sheila I agree, weed flowers are so pretty, shame really.

definitely speedwell. a pretty native flower. but if not what you want easy to pull out.

Thanks for your responses. I'll wait for the flowers and as it's easy to control, I'd like to keep it in places. I'd like to see it flower as though the tiny buds look white, the only illustration I can find shows red flowers, the RHS says blue
and Encyclopedia Brittanica says white, blue, purple or pink! So I think it will definitely be worth waiting. Would you like me to post another picture when it does?

there are several species of speedwell, some have all blue petals some have 1 dark blue and 3 paler stripy ones. all beautiful. locally called birdseye.
