Rhododendrons

I have a dwarf rhodendron which although in bud all summer has not flowered. The upper foliage appears to be flourishing (a deep shiny green). However, lower leaves are yellowing. I am concerned that I am about to lose this shrub due to disease, but what disease and is ther any treatment I be using.

Previous question
Is it in a pot or in the ground? Do you know whether your soil is acid? Yellowing leaves is often a sign of chlorosis in acid-loving shrubs, so the first thing to do is to water it with Sequestrene. I hope this works. Good luck.
