Hi I have a camilia plant (flowers with big pink blooms and has dark green shiny leaves) which is dying and i am not sure how to revive it. It is in a planter box which measures about 1ft in diameter. I have fed it and added compost but still no joy - can anyone tell me what has happened it and what to do to revive it please.

It is very possible that the compost in the pot was frozen for a long period last November before your Camelia became dormant. This has killed it. We took one of ours out on Saturday.

Do you keep it well watered? Have you checked that it's not potbound - a 1ft pot doesn't sound very big considering how big camelias get. Is it in ericaecous compost?
