i suspect it would be relatively easy. the berries contain the seeds and are eaten by birds and dispersed that way. thats probably where yours came from.

Please leave it to grow if you can, Bernard. Both the white and the black bryony used to be very common round here but we don't see much of them now. I think the white bryony you have has a particularly pretty leaf.

Decision's made - I'll keep it. There are several plants spaced along the hedge - it has not appeared anywhere else in the garden - it's almost as if plants know the environment they need.
It occurred to me that you might like some seeds if I can collect them after flowering. I'm a total beginner and would need some guidance as to the best way to do this.

i would appreciate seed too, please Bernard, just as Seaburngirl suggests. The berries turn red and are quite squishy. they look like a necklace amongst the bushes in the hedgerow.
