ID please! I had a lovely day out at Trelissick Garden near Truro today, and we passed a lovely tree that neither of us recognised. Can anyone put a name to it? My guess is that it is a Prunus, from the leaf shape. The flowers were bell-shaped. Any more info?

Snowdrop tree? Proper name escapes me at present, come from Florida and like damp conditions, ............
Halesia. Pure guess though, never having seen one in real life.

It looks like you've got it Owdboggy! Most pics on Google match. You go to the top of the class and can have a gold star to stick in your exercise book. :-)
Thank you.

Would love to have one here, but the labels all have the dreaded, "sheltered, sunny site" message on them and that means it would not survive here.

How do I say thanks?
