I have a tree, acer brilliantisium, approx 25 years old. Although the leaves are healthy, the colour at the beginning of spring was really as described brilliant. Now it seems to go green really quickly. It also seems to attract ? bugs. On the back of the leaves are what I would describe as orange eggs. I spray it with 'provado' which helps. Before I used this the leaves would wither, curl up and die. Can anyone advise me if I need to be doing anything to get the spectacular colour back, and improve the tree. At the moment, there are 'catkins' dropping off the tree. Thank you Kathryn.

Any chance of a photograph of these orange eggs? Nothing springs to mind from your description.
