October flowering Primrose
By Kineton

In our front garden, there are two primrose plants, which were in flower in late autumn last year. I am keeping an eye on them One was recently damaged by our gardeners. The other has just started to flower again. Is this unusual for October?

Some of mine have the odd flower in the Autumn. It seems to be common, but the Spring show is far better.

Some of my Primroses are flowering as well. I just hope they've got enought energy left when Spring comes around again.

No, not in Somerset, certainly! I have the same and several flowered last autumn too for the second time. Amazing, isn't it - it almost seems a shame when you expect Primroses to be spring-flowering plants. Ah well.... let's just enjoy what Nature gives us!
