I put a rhodedendron in the garden a few weeks ago and its not looking to well...some of the leaves are a bit brown on the tips and the buds are dry. Ive got it in full sun all day and i was just reading tht it likes partial shade so should I move it now to a more shady area.

Yes - its a woodland plant and likes cool, dappled shade. It also won't like to dry out, so as its a new planting, you will have to make sure you keep it well watered during dry spells.
