Banana Plant crying

We live in Dorset.
We have noticed that our two banana trees `cry` of a night time, ie water appears on the leaves and then runs down into the `trunk`, is this usual.
the plants are 3 foot and 3.5 foothigh

This is called 'gutation' and is just a natural way for the plant to get rid of excess moisture overnight. Or, if they are outside...it could be rain!!
