growing heliconias in container

hi ! i have about 10 varieties of heliconias . i do not have much ground space . can i grow them in large sizr plastic containers , measuring 18 inches in diameter and 30 i nches in length ?

Hallo Mads - sorry I can't give you a definite answer, as Heliconias are tender plants and in the UK would be grown under glass - in containers! That fact in itself might help you. My plant book tells me that they need special compost but I expect you know a lot more about growing them than I do! I can tell you more if you would like me to.
