Hi Vivienne - what sort of orchids are we talking about please? If it's Moth Orchids, they do like warmth and light during the day, so just keep them away from radiators and mist them with tepid water. Make sure that you don't leave them behind the curtains when you draw them at night if you have them on the window sill! They like a drop in temperature of at least 5 degrees at night. Other types of Orchids prefer cooler conditions, so it depends which type you have.
