hi all
i had a customer come in today with a part of a conifer covered with an orange/ brown jelly on the bark, there is no smell at all from it, but i also dont know what it is, do you??

There are a few species of slime mould and they do look different at different stages of development too.

thanks, i'll see if i can get the customer to bring another piece in. The only way that springs to mind is, the flower of calceolaria flower (pouch like) hanging from the stems, very soft and jelly like.
