Is the compost from a tomorite gro bag suitable to use in a hanging basket to grow flowers

only thing you may find is will dry out easily so if you can add some gel crystals or something similar, i have used this before and my hanging baskets have turned out fine.

Yes, its perfectly fine for bedding plants etc. Its basically the same formula used in most multi purpose mixes anyway, they just stick it in another bag.
