The leaves on our 2 flowering cherry trees are covered in brown spots and are falling, The bare branches look as though they are dying - can anyone offer suggestions/advice please?

You may have Cherry leaf spot, or shot hole fungus, caused by the fungus Blumeriella jaapii, leaf spot often defoliates the tree by midsummer.

Have you watered? We're in Sahara like conditions here in West London, which is not far away from Hampshire really. Cherries are surface rooting, so will need watering at times like these, and particularly if the trees are less than 3 years old. Leave the hose trickling at the base for a couple of hours to see if it recovers and starts growing again in a week or so.
