Reading all the other Cordyline problems was very useful(thankyou). Our Cordyline seems to have survived the winter (it has lots of green leaves). However lots of them have brown tips and there always seems to be 1 or 2 yellow leaves, is this a watering problem? It's in the ground and we know that below about 4ft there is a solid clay layer which can collect water so although we've had very little rain recently we;re worried about overwatering it. Help!

You needn't worry about overwatering if its in the ground - brown tips might indicate water shortage, which wouldn't be surprising since I note you live in Essex, which is about as dry as we are here in West London, in other words, desert like conditions. The odd couple of yellowing, dying leaves is not a problem, quite normal for this kind of leaf loss to occur all year round.
