Sticky Cyclamen

Some of the leaves on the Cyclamen in my porch have developed a 'gooey' sticky substance on them. Little nodules have also appeared on the top and underside of some leaves, but not both on same leaves! Can anyone tell me what it is and why it's happened? It has been a mass of bloom and as I de-head more buds appear, so other-wise healthy.

Do scale insects attack cyclamen? I had experience of them on a small citrus I had in a pot and the problem you have sounds very similar. I'm sure someone who knows better than I will have the precise answer.
