My Honeysuckle grows well during the beginning of the year but once the flowers start coming it gets attacked by small inects ( like greenfly?) or spiders & the flowers never open, then the shoots points obviously stop growing. What can I do to overcome this?

If you can't decide exactly what the pests are, its a bit difficult, but have you tried spraying with a broad spectrum insecticide when the infestation occurs? Preferably a systemic one?
