I want to grow an evergreen azalea in a wooden pot. What compost should I use and what other small plants could I grow in the same pot? Is there such a plant as a minature azalea?

You'll need ericaceous compost. Yes, there are dwarf azaleas, which would be well suited to containers.

You could add annual trailing plants like Bacopa, Lobelia and Surfinia for summer colour.
