Having just weeded out a 2 gallon bucket of baby Aquilegias (and even tiny ones have a big tap root) I would say YES!

No deadheading will not encourage your aquilegia to produce more flowers now. It will however flower again next year.

Depends if you want them to self seed or not. Most would leave them till the seeds have formed , give them a shake and the seeds will produce more plants next year.
Then cut back to the foliage. But its a matter of choice.

It must be ours then, I cut them to the ground as soon as the first flowers have finished and they flower again in autumn, not very big flowers but definitely more

I cut mine to the ground after flowering too and, last year some of them flowered again late summertime-ish.

If you deadhead them, they will live longer, and produce more flowers next year. You might want to let the prettiest ones to produce a pod or two, to get replacement seedlings. The plants are short-lived for perennials, and they don't divide well at all.

Its up to you, i prefer to leave them on, but if you do they will freely self seed, you could save a little seed if you so wish, then cut them down, julien.
