We have had a wisteria for many years. It produces lots of foliage but never flowers. What can we do to encourage it to flower?

Hello have tried pruning it, you need to do this twice a year, july time and in january, the object of this is to create the formation of spurs that will carry future flowers, if you have got a large framework of growth now , then all the long growth [wands] cut back to about three/four buds, in july time, and again in january, you will then see these form into the spurs which carry the flowers, was your wisteria brought or was it grown from seed, julien.
