A friend has many plum and apple trees and peach trees.
And a grapevine his wife used to tend to garden and is asking when is best time fruit trees need pruned as family are going to tend to this.

Good to know, Julien. We don't have this in the States, so we tend to prune in the winter, to reduce sunburn, bleeding, and borer problems.

You can summer prune the Apples or you can do this in the winter, CAUTION, but peach/plum you need to do any pruning may to early july, this is because they are suseptable to silver leaf desease, prune in the summer and the wounds have time heal, and this aplys to all the prunus family, julien.
