What to do with a spider plant now that the winter is near?

Hi, I'm not sure what to do with my spider plant now that the winter is approaching and it's stopped flowering. Should I cut it down, it's almost 6ft. tall! What about seeds? I'd like to grow it again next year but not quite sure what to do.

Is this a Cleome? If so, it's an annual and it will die and go in your compost bin. If the seedpods ripen you can collect seed for next year - mine don't seem to want to, though!
