I bought three red tips last spring. Two are doing beautifully and the third has produced berries, is a lighter green shade and about a third of the size. It doesn't seem to grow as fast as the others. Do you think it is something other than a red tip?

It is possible the one with berries has been short of food, this encourages plants to come into flower. Or maybe it is a Female and the others are Male. If it is a named vrariety they would all be same sex. so perhaps these are seedling raised.
