BAY TREE PLOBLEM

Hi Johnted, what you have is scale insect which causes the plant to become sticky and sooty, had the same problem, Bay is prone to scale insect. You can buy a spray from your garden centre, quite difficult to spray underneath, especially if the plant is a large one, I usually spray mine twice a year.
