I have noticed on my bushes in the garden a white sticky substance , and my plants have stopped flowering and growing could you tell me what is causing this and what to do

Could be Cuckoo spit is it frothy? if so wont do any harm, but a photo would help?

Need more info I'm afraid - what plants have the problem? Is it on the stems and bark, or just on the leaves? Or can you post a photograph?
