Plant ID please.
This is a small deciduous shrub, that I got without a label. Can anyone recognise it? it is no more than about 8" h x 15" wide. I'd love to know what it is, but can't be sure where to look. Grateful for any replies.

Not really, just happened to have time to look in my rock plants book, lol! I like this, might try to get some myself.

I had one a few years ago but lost it in winter - it's not terribly hardy. You may want to take "insurance" cuttings to overwinter indoors.

Thanks Beattie, I'll get a couple going. Must admit it went thru the last winter really well. But it is in a sheltered position.

Well it's possible I'm blaming the winter cold unfairly. Perhaps it's a short-lived perennial. Either way, cuttings would be a good idea.
