We have an old apple tree outside a bedroom window. There were lots of blossoms and plenty of apples formed. However, now the apples are about the size of golf balls, they are falling off the tree.
Any ideas as to the cause?

Expats are all the apples falling off or just some? Fruit trees produce far more fruit than they can actually grow to maturity and 'drop' a good percentage in June - commonly known as the 'June drop'

Moon grower, they all seem to be dropping off. Last year we had snow in May which meant we lost a lot but why, this year, I don't know.

Then you might want to check out the boron deficiency.

I recall reading that this could be a boron deficiency. You could check that out.
