Wrong rose.
I will be moving the rose I planted to grow up a post because it looks so sad and bedraggled after rain. The flowers just do not pick up again, but hang there like pink rags. So disappointing. I am going to try and find the suggestions people gave me when I asked about this last year but if anyone can tell me of a pink or cream rose with whippy stems for ease of training and which does not totally collapse in rain, I'd be most grateful. The post is 8ft tall. Thank you.

New Dawn or Handel, if you like the latter's coloration.

but to be honest most flowers hang their heads after heavy rain. they will perk up again though. My new dawn does anyway.

Does New Dawn ball in the rain though, Seaburngirl? Iceberg looks terrible after a lot of rain...

I have quite a few roses and most of them recover fairly quickly after rain but this Alexander Girault has looked most bedraggled for over a week now. It's even worse because it's on a post or pillar very prominently in my front garden and I want something that will perk up again quickly and look none the worse. Thank you for the suggestions-I will be following them up.

Maybe 'High Society', or 'Climbing Peace'?
