have you tried B & Q? they usually sell water features like the one you are looking for.
the irish versions of B&Q are called Atlantic and Woodies and i have seen them there. you would get them cheap at this time of the yr too

You could always by a standard pot, (a nice one) seal it on the inside to make it water proof with PVA then seal the hole at the bottom with a sealent (shower bath type).
You could even lay it on its side and use the hole at the base to place a water pipe through before sealing it.
Hope this helps.

Have to be honest first, I have no idea how to make a water feature, what it requires or anything but here's an idea ... how about a pair (or more) of old boots?!? There must be some sort of waterproofing stuff on the market ... you could have little spouts of water popping out of the eye-holes for the laces ( if they were big army style boots) ... or just tumbling over the top.

Some ideas for you,
Have you thought of using terracotta or metal jugs?
Boot fairs have lots of brass and copper that no body wants to polich anymore, copper would weather nicely. even the old fashioned metal bootscrapers could be used.
Or just bending material such as copper to the shapes you want.
If not think about building 3/4 steps and topping with copper, stone or lead.
I once saw a very clever water feature made from short bits of 1/2 guttering.
I built my own water fall into a pond. I used the earth from the pond to make a bank then had a chanel from the top meander to the pond I lined the chanel with felt and then pond liner and planted all the edges. the rest of the bank became a rockery.

I got my pots on ebay...if you search for urns or pots or whatever you can usually find a large variety made of various materials...you need to be watchful of the size or it may be smaller than what you are looking for...I wanted copper so I had to pay a bit more; luckily, that was several years ago so I got my copper pots before the cost of copper went up....good luck
