Should I cut down my 'wild' wallflowers/cherianthus now that they have finished flowering or should I just let the seeds drop and 'selfseed'?

Also is it possible to propogate them?

I'm ignorant about propagation but love wallflowers. Not sure I'd really bother trying to propagate as sowing is so easy and seed cheap. All I do is keep deadheading the plants regularly to encourage further (smaller) flowers for a bit longer through the season. The plants do flower for more than one season, tho they get leggy when older. Don't they have a gorgeous scent!
