I have a twisted willow growing in a pot - when I watered it last night it dropped its leaves. Is it too much water or too little too late?

Too little too late keeping any Salix in a container means constant watering...

Probably too little ,they love water ...but if you keep it well watered now, I think it should recover , I have some and they did exactly the same and are recovering, so don't give up on it just yet.
