severe thunderstorms snapped and uprooted my flourishing zucchini! I cut the stem down, and have replanted it.... what are the chances it will re-root and re-grow...
somewhat heartbroken in Atlanta.

Not impossible, but very unlikely. The stump of the original plant might grow back, if any part of it above the original seed leaves still exists.
