Do you know what kind of Yucca plant this is and can you offer any tips on it's care?. I've had it just over a year and water once a week. I bet you'll say, that's the wrong spot for it judging by what I have read so far. TY in advance.

That is a Spanish Dagger, or Soft-tip Yucca (Y. gloriosa). Once a week sounds good, in bright light and low humidity--I would normally let the top cm of soil dry between waterings. Regular houseplant food is good for it, but is best applied at half of the recommended strength. When it needs transplanting (maybe next spring) use a fast-draining potting compost: "Cactus Mix", if you can get it.
