Y is my ficus weeping

Hi, I'm not sure what the problem could be. I know that there are Weeping Ficus, but if that is not what you purchased it shouldn't be doing it. Could you maybe upload a picture and we could see the problem?

Is it weeping from a cut? i.e. pruning?
They do weep a white sap profusely from wounds so they really need to be pruned in winter when the sap flow is reduced.

They do respond well to hard pruning.
