I have a plant that looks like a tomato but it has a hot taste like a jalapeno . Is it possible that the two plants propogated themselves? Has anyone had this happen?

Hmmm...tomatillos run savory-tart, like a tomato, to fruity-sweet, never hot. What do the leaves look like, Suttie? There are a number of hot peppers that are tomato-shaped, from cherry-sized to fist-sized.
