will plants grow under blue DPM plastic cover?

a friend is making a polly tunnel out of this DPM stuff. i dont think the plants willgrow properly does any one have any ideas on this

It actually dpeneds on how much light passes through it. If it is totally opaque when of course nothing will grow. One other problem would be that it will quickly disintegrate under the action of Ultra violet light.

The only thing you can grow is mushrooms, or hold back bulbs from flowering. In general it would be too dark for anything else.
