the brown turkey igrew from seed ,now 12ft tall was laden with large fruit in october they dropped but green and hard could this be a bad year/

I don't know if it is the weather Charlie but it certainly looks that way. I am 150 miles to the north of you and mine didn't even try this year. OK last year - just. That was a bad year. Great year in 2006 with a roasting summer. I'm seeing more and more people having trouble with tender fruiting stock. Other tender plants seem OK (my palms are all fine) but the fruit does need that old sun.

Mine didnt do anything either and Im in Essex. Usually very good, plenty of fruit, just not enough good old sun I think
