I bought 10 strawberry plants, around April I think, but only one has flowered and produced four strawberries (one was ripened today and was delicious!). The other plants have grown quite big and have produced runners, any ideas why they didn't flower or will they flower later? Thanks.

In March I bought 12 strawberry plants which were cold treated and they have given me a pretty good crop of large berries , untreated plants should really have the first years flowers removed to build them for next year . Unless you intend multiplying your numbers , its best to remove all runners as soon as they are seen .

they may flower later but peg the runners down and hopefully they will flower + fruit next year.
