I planted a salix caprea pendula a few months ago. It is in an open spot, planted through a weedroof membrane in a gravel garden. It was well watered at the beginning and has grown well, until the last couple of weeks when a few of the leaves at the very top have turned yellow.
I don't know if this is normal? Perhaps it's preparing early for Autumn?!
Also, the branches have continued to grow, even thoough they have reached the ground and are now curling under. I had expected they would stop grwing when they touched the ground. ShouldI prune them to ground level?
