Hi and welcome to GOY Tommy. About this time of year I apply a second does of weed and feed to my lawns and after 5-7 days rake it over to remove debri and make the creeping, short weeds stand up so they are caught by the mower. I then mow at least every 7 days as this weakens any weeds left and encourages the grass to grow sideways and thickens the grass.

Alternatively, leave it for the bees. I've just been watching them buzz all over the clover, and decided not to cut the lawn til tomorrow! What a softie!
