my ceanthus has been badly hit by last years frosts,it tried to revive itself & gave up the ghost .any solutions or should i write it off?

If it's still not recovered by now it's a goner, I'm afraid. Time for a new one - or something else.

I would give up on it! they are quite often short-lived and do not respond well to much pruning. Treat yourself to a new form!
