I am searching for the climbing rose 'New Dawn' to purchase.
I realize that it's not the best time to purchase roses but just wondering if there is one still available somewhere? I have tried so many nurseries on the web without success!
I am about to have my garden re-planted, (due to the bad winter last year, I lost a few plants/shrubs.)
This Rose is to cover my Garage wall, which is opposite a fence having the David Austin rose 'Madam Isaac Pereire' across it; (deep blue lavender below).
Hopefully the colours should all compliment each other?
Can anyone help?

Why don't you just ask on the web for suppliers of New Dawn? I'm sure there must be one somewhere, because most roses are supplied in pots now, so are much easier to plant out without too much trouble. I've found quite a lot of plants this way. Good luck with your search. Annie Cumbria)

Having looked online for roses in containers in May, Anneashby, it would seem that, contrary to both your and my expectations, many suppliers don't supply them during the summer months. Most sites suggest you order them ready for despatch in autumn/winter bare root, which is exactly what Rozz has found to be the case. The later in the season you get, the less likely you are to find what you want too - I was lucky, I managed to find the 3 varieties that would do from Jacksons, in pots, in May, but they only had those 3 available, and very few of those left as well.

Thank you 'Bamboo' & Anneashby for your interest. I have managed to get the two David Austin 'Madam Isaac Pereire' roses; I simply emailed a few sites & hey BINGO!
Still searching for the New Dawn climbing rose; you never know!

Yep, keep trying if you've got the time - that's how I got mine, just kept on and on until I found them. What I didn't realise was how many nurseries and plant suppliers don't supply during summer, only in winter, and that's any and all plants...

There are 22 suppliers listed in the RHS Plantfinder - you'd have to ring each one up and see if they've actually got one they could send now, but I suspect its unlikely - your best bet is to order it now from somewhere for delivery during the winter, it's really rather late for contained roses to be sent out, specially climbers. I had trouble finding floribunda and HTs in early May, most sites said despatch in autumn.
